Visionary, Energetic and Passionate: Ronin are carving a niche with their unique sound, with foundations firmly planted in rock and elements of alternative, blues, and pop; Ronin are both storytellers and soothsayers.

Forged in 2011, Kit, Loz, Dave & Jake converged to create the musical maelstrom of Ronin; quickly releasing their debut EP Hybris to popular acclaim, following this with incessant gigging, writing, rehearsing, They covered the miles, polished the show and honed the intent. Songs from Hybris still stand out; with lead single ‘Fly Away’ recently being featured on a few episodes of Jamie Oliver’s ‘Food Tube’

Ronin are a sensory spectacle: seeing Loz conjure stunning guitar solos, Jake pound out the heartbeat under Dave’s thundering bass lines: all providing an iron-clad back drop for the whirling dervish that is Kit Kinrade, it is easy to forget that these are still only between 22 and 23, still so young, yet so accomplished, professional and musically tight. The shows are high energy with a strong visual impact, whether a short 30-minute support or an extended 90-minute headline, you always get the same standard and quality of showmanship.

‘Limerence’, the much anticipated follow up to fan favourite ‘Hybris’ was launched late 2013, with a 12 date UK tour, kicking off at Worcester’s Marrs Bar, to publicise it’s release. The 1st Single ‘The Bearer’  is available as a free download from the band’s soundcloud ( and is accompanied by a Kinetic Typography video. It is also available from iTunes and is getting regular FM radio play.

Second single ‘Trespasser’ was released with its own striking and ambitious music video; additional tracks include the dark story of star-crossed lovers ‘Hard Lines’, the euphoric hymn for unity ‘Serenity’, the honest and emotional ‘Always in my Heart’, the powerful insight into madness that is ‘Mirrors’ and the captivating and tragic tale of ‘Mimi Woolfe’

Already these songs are proving popular amongst fans, and appear on set lists alongside old favorites from the ‘Hybris’ EP, last years single ‘Living in the Dark’ and a few surprising covers.

Ronin already have some impressive gigs under their belt: Highlights include supporting Canadian rockers Cherry Suede on their UK tour, sharing the stage with 80′s stadium fillers Then Jerico on their UK ‘Reprise’ Tour at the 02 Birmingham, as well as supporting musical legends (Ian Dury &) The Blockheads at the Robin2 in Bilston. Probably the most significant slot the band has gained thus far is supporting the Jackass and Viva La Bam star Bam Margera (as F**kface Unstoppable) at the 02 Academy2 in Birmingham; playing to a sold out venue and impressing every single face in the crowd along the way.

These special performances allow Rõnin the chance to prove their musical pedigree along side some of the worlds finest Muso’s and show that whilst having a blast on stage, they’re serious about what they do. They want to entertain and enthrall, and it’s what they do best.

With a handful of endorsements to their name, signed to Sun & Stars Management, Speegra Publishing and having just finished their second term with development label M.A.S. Records, they are proving a draw for industry people too. Record deals will be the next big step and songs are already being shaped for a full album. Now making an impact of the national live music scene, 2014 promises to be a very good year for this impressive rock band.
